ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
The University of Lodz is the largest public university in central Poland, performing research and offering education at 13 faculties. Currently 28,000 students gain and hone competences at the University of Lodz. Over 10% of them are international students who study full time both in Polish and in English, as well as stay at the University of Lodz for a semester or two within various exchange programmes. The University of Lodz is currently the third university in Poland as regards the number of full time and mobility international students.
The mission of the University of Lodz is to build scientific excellence and enable its students to succeed professionally. The underlying values of the University of Lodz include community, innovation for development, openness and unity in diversity. Integration, caring for equal opportunities and respecting diversity are manifested in the University-Diversity project. The University of Lodz is open to the world in all its dimensions – both through research and attracting numerous young people to Lodz. The international students enrich the multi-cultural nature of the university and the city that throughout its turbulent history became known as a melting pot of four cultures. The University of Lodz builds its academic community on respect for cultural and religious identity as well as on social sensitivity. These values are reflected in the fact that the University of Lodz has become a signatory of the Diversity Charter as the first public university in Poland.
The University of Lodz faculty are experienced through participation in various international cooperation projects, international mobilities, designing and teaching in English language programmes. The programme of workshops offered within this project has been prepared and will be conducted by experienced academic teachers from the Faculty of Management who are actively teaching in the Business Management study programmes (at bachelor and master levels) that have been accredited by the IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education).
